Display Backboards, Shelves:

(MONTHLY VENDORS ONLY) Booth modifications must be approved in advanced by the Market Manager. These and similar items of construction are allowed IF constructed in such a manner as to be safe and without damage to the market buildings and floors and must be constructed in accordance with Marion County building codes. All materials must be new and must be painted the SAME as the market. The Market reserves the right to disallow of any item if not to the markets specifications as determined by the Market Manager.

Display Area:

All merchandise and advertising signs must be kept within the marked boundaries of the display area. No display is allowed on the area used for Vendor parking. Items that are hung must be set back 2 feet from booth space line and should not be offensive to the public or block the view of a neighbor’s merchandise. Any nails, tape, or other materials used to affix signs must be removed at the end of the rental period. Any alterations to display area become property of the Market.

Vendor Set-up:

Gate opens@ 7 a.m. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Vendors should be set-up and ready for business by 9 a.m. and remain open till the close of business @ 4 p.m. Vendors are required to vacate the premises by 2:30 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Vendors Rent and Property:

All vendors must pay their rent prior to occupying a booth. Vendors are required to keep their receipt with them at all times. DOUBLE RENT WILL BE CHARGED TO ANY VENDOR WITHOUT FIRST PAYING FOR ALL SPACES BEING USED.

Monthly vendors must pay the following month’s rent in advance by 4:00 P.M. on the last Sunday of the current month. Monthly vendors who pay their rent after the due date will be charged a 15% late fee. Absolutely no refunds on pre-paid rent. Daily vendors may pre-rent their space only if the space is available. The market has no obligation to daily vendors to hold said space open for the next business day. We accept cash, check or credit cards.

Booths after 30 days of non payment of rent will be considered abandoned and will become property of the market and will sold to recover any loss to the market.

Electricity Use:

Electricity must be paid for prior to use. A surge cord must be used at all times. NO halogen lights, electric heaters, coffee pots, hot plates, microwaves, etc. without written consent.

Propane Tanks:

THE USE OF PROPANE TANKS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. At any time.

Vendor Garbage and Clean Up:

Rental spaces shall be maintained as neat and orderly as possible, Vendors are required to clean up their rental space at the end of the business day. All papers and other garbage should be disposed of in the dumpsters. ALL boxes MUST be broken down and made flat before being put in the dumpster. A 25.00 fee will be charged to any vendor that leaves any mess on the grounds. NO vehicles or trailers are to be left on the Market premises after close without consent from Market Manager.

Vendor’s attire and Behavior:

Vendors and their employees are expected to dress and conduct themselves in a proper manner at all times. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Good personal hygiene, courtesy to customers and others vendors is expected. Profanity, loud boisterous behavior and physical violence will not be tolerated. No alcoholic beverages shall be consumed by vendors or their employees on the premises during Market hours. Children must remain with an adult at all times. The Market reserves the right to refuse rental to any vendor or to expel any vendor at the discretion of the Market Manager.

Licenses:

Subletting or loaning of vendor space: Is prohibited unless authorized in writing by the Market Office.

Selling of Vendor Business:

Under no circumstances may a vendor, regardless of his/her longevity, permanent status, booth improvements or any other reason, have the right to sell his/her booth space. If a vendor wants to sell his/her business and transfer the space to the purchaser he/she must contact the Market Office for rules regarding transfers. The Market reserves the right to decline the proposed new vendor.

Security, Property, Liability and Insurance:

Monthly vendors may leave merchandise overnight at their own risk with the understanding that the market and/or security personnel assume no responsibility for theft or damage to property or merchandise. Daily vendors must remove all merchandise by 4:00p.m. Additionally, the Market is not responsible for any liability out of the negligent acts of vendors of their employees or for any injuries sustained by employees of vendors. Vendors should obtain adequate property liability and workman’s compensation insurance to cover their property and liability. In the event the market is sued for any negligent acts of a vendor, the Markets insurance company will subrogate against said vendor for the full amount of any paid loss.

All roll up doors must be locked from the inside. In the event they are not, the market will place a market lock on the door and there will be a 25.00 fee to remove the lock.

Banned Items:

The following items are not allowed to be sold or brought to the market:

  • Guns, ammunition, fireworks, popping caps, dynamite or other similar explosive materials; dangerous or poisonous chemicals; and other similar items that could be hazardous to the public.
  • Dangerous animals such as dogs with vicious tendencies, poisonous snakes, large cats ( tigers, lions .. etc.);
  • Offensive books and materials (pornography, occult, or witchcraft).
  • No illegal, counterfeit or stolen items.
  • No drug paraphernalia.

Selling of Food Items:

No food or beverage items shall be sold for consumption on the premises. If a Vendor wishes to sell a questionable food item, vendor must have prior written approval from Market Manager. Certificate of insurance must be on file with I-75 Flea Market LLC as an additional named insured.

Animals to be Sold as Pets:

Animals such as birds, dogs, turtles, cats/rabbits, etc. Can be sold However, animals must be maintained in cages at all times and upon their sale be delivered to the customer in an appropriate box or cage. ALL State, County, Health Dept. and Humane Society rules must be adhered to pertaining to the sale and keep of such animals.

Complaints or Comments:

The Market Manager is available during Market Office Hours. Complaints concerning the market should be directed to the Market Manager. Any issues of a serious nature should be in writing.

    Hello I am interested in becoming a vendor in the near future. Do i need to acquire any type of licenses or insurance to sell craft items ?
